Some kind words.....................
Herald Sun Tuesday 15th September Paddy Kendler Paul Bettio King Valley Cabernet Merlot 2008 "4.5 Stars" "The King Valley has some stellar performers, a few true generals supported by some sturdy soldiers. Paul Bettio fits neatly into the latter group and continues to turn out decent and dangerously drinkable reds and whites at bargain prices. The latest red blend is just the sort of wine you would serve with a Friday-night pizza, a saturday basic barbecue or a Sunday cheese platter."
Winestate Magazine September/October 2009 “World’s Greatest Shiraz Challenge” Category Winner ($15 -$20) "5 Stars" Paul Bettio King Valley Shiraz 2008 "Very good wine that shows depth and persistence. Great colour and vibrant fruit cake-like nose. Palate has a lovely creamy texture and is layered with flavours of dark fruit, plums and olives."
Australian Wine Companion 2010, James Halliday 4.5/5 King Valley Barbera 2008. Good colour; blueberry fruit with a touch of spice, good acidity and clean low-tannin finish; has a touch of the varietal bramble character on the finish. Rating 90 To 2012 Australian Wine Companion 2010, James Halliday 4/5 King Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2008. Good colour; quite European bouquet; high-toned, with a relatively high-acid palate. Rating 87 To 2012
Winestate Magazine July/August 2009 Paul Bettio King Valley Barbera 2008 "Appealing soft, fresh quaffer with interesting estery berry aromas and flavours."
David Sutherland The Border Mail, November, 2008 Paul Bettio King Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2008 ".... It is interesting how sauvignon blanc changes its fruit character according to its growing location. This doesn't have the pungent green characters typical of New Zealand wines but more of the soft tropical fruit flavour akin to chardonnay. The nose has real lychee and peach aromas while the palate treads the same flavour path, is fresh and clean with hints of sweet capsicum."
Winestate Magazine Nov/Dec Issue, 2008 Paul Bettio King Valley Rosso Dolce 2008 "Delightful perfumed/rose petal aromas and sweet, fizzy palate full of peaches and spices." Top40: Best Buys less than $15.00
